Dr. Bipin Shah

Dr. Bipin R. Shah is a highly qualified and experienced Ophthalmologist with over 28 years of practice in the medical field. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Glasgow and holds a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from the Rural Medical College, Pune as well as a Diploma in Ophthalmology (DO) and Diplomate of National Board (DNB) in Ophthalmology.

He also completed a Post-Graduate Diploma in Medico-Legal Systems (PGDMLS) and an International Council of Ophthalmology (ICO) program in London.

Dr. Shah’s areas of practice include Phacoemulsification with Foldable Lens, Lasik Eye Surgery, Non-Phaco Small Incision Sutureless Cataract Surgery, Medical Retina with Fundus Fluorescein Angiography and Posterior Segment Lasers, Contact Lens, Glaucoma Surgery, and USG-B scan.

He has completed a short-term fellowship program in Indirect Ophthalmoscope and Lasers in the Management of Diabetic Retinopathy at the Aravind Eye Hospital and Post-Graduate Institute in Coimbatore, as well as Phacoemulsification and Lasik training programs.

Dr Shah has extensive work experience, including serving as a House Officer at V.N. Desai Hospital, Santacruz and as an Assistant Lecturer at B.J. Medical College, Pune and K.E.M. Hospital in Pune.

He has also been a consultant Eye Surgeon at Kurla Lions Medical Center and has worked at various other medical centres, including Netra Jyot Eye Hospital and Shakuntal-Chitra Nursing Home.

Throughout his career, Dr. Shah has performed over 25,000 Cataract Surgeries with I.O.L., over 8,500 Small Incision Cataract Extractions with I.O.L. (Non-Phaco), and over 11,000 Phacoemulsification Surgeries.
